TJ Nelligan to appear on "One-on-One" with Steve Adubato on July 30

On Monday, July 30, 2007 at 5:30 p.m., TJ Nelligan will appear on CN8’s One-on-One with Steve Adubato. Nelligan will be discussing his role in raising over $8 million for the new 35,000-square-foot Special Olympics Sports Complex in Lawrenceville, NJ – the home for Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ). Nelligan became involved because his son, Sean, is a special-needs child and a Special Olympics athlete. Nelligan has been a board member of SONJ for over 13 years and was Chairman of the Board during the fundraising campaign for the new facility. Steve will also have a candid discussion about the college sports marketing industry during the interview. Tune in to learn more about the great things the SONJ offers.

One-on-One discusses real-life stories and conducts personable and compelling interviews. It features a wide variety of guests ranging from political leaders and CEOs to television personalities and educational innovators who share their experiences and accomplishments in an involved half-hour conversation. Steve asks questions that inspire the guests to talk beyond their expected route. One-on-One does not sensationalize the guests, but portrays them as down-to-earth people whom the general public can relate to and shows the reality that allows viewers to grasp the wisdom and comprehensiveness rarely seen on televised talk shows. Previous guests include NJ Governor Jon Corzine; Frank Vincent, actor, The Sopranos and Goodfellas; and Kevin Clash, inventor/co-producer of Elmo. One-on-One airs seven days a week and is syndicated to over eight million homes from Boston to Baltimore on CN8 – The COMCAST Network and Cablevision.

Steve Adubato, Ph.D., has enjoyed a distinguished career as a broadcaster, author and motivational speaker. He is currently the anchor of two Channel Thirteen/WNET (PBS) broadcasts – Caucus, an Emmy Award-winning public affairs television series, which is also broadcast on NJN-Public Television, and Inside Trenton, a news program which covers political issues on a weekly basis. He is also the executive producer and host of One-on-One with Steve Adubato, an in-depth interview program.

Steve has been the recipient of four prestigious Emmy Awards for his work on public television. In 1995, 2000 and again in 2001, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented Steve with Emmy Awards in the category of “Best Host.” Most recently, New Jersey Monthly magazine named Steve one of the top five most powerful media figures in the state. In the past, New Jersey Monthly selected Steve as one of the “50 Most Interesting People” in the state as well as one of the “25 Most Influential People in New Jersey.”

In addition to his broadcast success, Steve is also involved in a variety of charity and community-oriented initiatives. He currently serves on the following boards: Saint Barnabas Burn Foundation, North Ward Center, American Heart Association and Columbus Hospital Foundation.
